Candidates can choose between building a new outpatient practice near the Delaware beaches in Rehoboth Beach or joining an established multidisciplinary Endocrinology program in Smyrna.
Our Endocrinology and Diabetes Specialty Care program is recognized through the Delaware Diabetes Coalition and the American Diabetes Association and provides modern, evidence-based treatment for patients across our growing service area.
Rehoboth Beach, Delaware – Outpatient Endocrinology
Build and lead a new outpatient Endocrinology practice in one of Delaware's most desirable coastal communities.
Position Highlights:
- Establish and grow your own outpatient Endocrinology practice with the support of ChristianaCare
- Build a patient panel through local referrals, including the neighboring Atracare Primary Care practice
- 100% outpatient – no inpatient responsibilities
- $100,000 sign-on bonus, paid within the second or third paycheck
- Practice approximately 15 minutes from the beach
- Excellent opportunity for an Endocrinologist interested in autonomy and practice growth
Smyrna, Delaware – Established Endocrinology Practice
Join an established, highly collaborative Endocrinology program offering primarily outpatient care with limited inpatient responsibilities.
Position Highlights:
- Join a multidisciplinary team of nine physicians, four nurse practitioners, and six certified diabetes educators
- Primarily outpatient care at the Smyrna clinic
- Round at ChristianaCare's Newark/Wilmington hospitals approximately 4–5 times per year
- Light 1:8 call schedule with an experienced team providing additional support
- Inpatient responsibilities consist of staggered weekends and two-week rounding blocks
- Transitioning to Epic in October 2026
- Annual compensation range: $233,853–$338,270
