Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire is pleased to announce a full time opening for an experienced Physician Assistant in the Section of Thoracic Surgery. The successful candidate will first assist in the operating room for all thoracic surgery procedures, including open, VATS, and robotic surgery. The candidate will be proficient in standard surgical technique. Robotic or VATS experience is beneficial. Additional responsibilities include the care of inpatients in the post-operative period, providing and coordinating care and education of patients and families in the clinic, and coordinating care at home. Work in the outpatient clinic setting provides opportunities to assist with evaluation of elective, urgent, and emergent patients.

In addition, there are ample opportunities to be involved in research as well as clinical teaching of our General Surgery Residents and trainees in our PA Residency Program. A faculty appointment through Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth will be requested.

• Be a team-oriented multi-tasker with a willingness to learn and hone skills
• Work during the week, take call, round 1 weekend a month, and cover holidays; no mandatory in-house call!
• Enjoy teaching and mentoring the next generation of Thoracic Surgery PAs

Qualifications

Current (or eligible) certification to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of New Hampshire. Academic preparation at the Master's level.

Required Licensure/Certification Skills:

• NCCPA certification
• PA license in the state of New Hampshire
• DEA registration
