Exciting Obesity Medicine Opportunities in Fairfield and New Haven Counties, Connecticut (60 miles from New York City)
Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, formerly Western Connecticut Health Network, is seeking an obesity medicine physician to join our growing Metabolic & Medical Weight Management Program in our Newtown and Southbury, Connecticut practice locations, about one hour outside of New York City in suburban Connecticut. This growing program includes our Medical Director, staff physicians, advanced practitioners, as well as dieticians and behavioral health specialists at both our Newtown and Southbury office locations Our program provides comprehensive evaluations and management of obesity as a chronic disease with a focus on health and wellness. We see both non-surgical and surgical candidates pre- and post-operatively.

Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Endocrinology, board certified/eligible in obesity medicine, and have experience/ expertise in the field of obesity medicine. This includes competency in the genetic, biologic environmental, social and behavioral factors that contribute to obesity and a thorough understanding of the treatment of obesity and related metabolic conditions. We offer a highly competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits package, including sign on bonus, relocation and allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses. Part-time schedules will be considered.

Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our larger employed Medical Group includes 1000+ physicians and advanced practitioners.
Our offices are located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, about 60 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT.
