Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

 

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified individual to join our tenure track or non-tenure clinical track in our Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division. Rank will be commensurate with experience ranging from junior faculty to division director. Participation in clinical and educational activities of the division, including our fellowship, is required. The applicant must be committed to fellow, resident, and medical student education and patient care. Clinical or laboratory research is highly desired but is only required on the tenure track. Applicants must be active candidates or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Requirements

Education Requirements: Successful applicants must possess an M.D. Degree or equivalent and have completed a U.S. residency in obstetrics and gynecology and U.S. fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.

Required Qualifications: Required qualifications include excellent clinical skills, strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrated teaching skills.   Clinical or laboratory research is required for the tenure track.  Applicants must be active candidates or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Certifications:  Certifications include American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology active candidate/board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as subspecialty active candidate/board certification in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.

Desirable Qualifications:  Research interest in reproductive endocrinology and infertility is highly desirable.
