Associate Professor Of Vascular Medicine


The Department of Internal Medicine seeks faculty candidates in the area of vascular research at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.  Successful applicants will hold an MD/DO or equivalent degree, be qualified to obtain Oklahoma licensure, and should be eligible for credentialing under OU Health Physicians as well as area medical facilities.  Applicants should be board certified or eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Association.

This faculty position will provide the candidate the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary highly productive vascular medicine team, including vascular surgeons and fellows, studying treatment and prevention of vascular disease and its impact on a broad range of patients.  The faculty member will be expected to develop and conduct original research, secure funding from external sponsors, and to maintain national visibility via dissemination of findings through journal publications and presentations at scientific meetings. The candidate should be highly collaborative as the position will involve working with the Departments of Internal Medicine and Surgery in research and in providing patient care that enhances the research mission of both departments.

The School of Community Medicine (SCM) is an integrated track within the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine, located on the OU-Tulsa campus.  In addition to a 4-year medical student program, the SCM has 7 residency programs, 6 fellowships, and a physician assistant program.  The OU Health Physicians multi-specialty practice offers a full range of care through inpatient and outpatient settings.
